CSOM is MUCH HARDER to get into than MCAS

Take it from someone who is a student in MCAS (me) and having friends in both schools. Of this, I am 100% positive.

BC ‘18 CSOM grad here. This is correct, but primarily because of the smaller school size and its higher national ranking. Average size is 500 students/year, and Bloomberg Businessweek ranked CSOM #3 in undergrad business schools two years ago (even higher than the #4 ranking they boasted when I started!).

It’s also worth noting that interested students should apply into CSOM on the Common App. While possible, it’s very difficult to internally transfer into CSOM as an undergrad.

CSOM program also favorably mentioned in the latest Poets and Quants rankings…

Mcas is a big school. Take a look at kids in biochem and physics. They will not have a profile lower than csom. Or they won’t last long. But there are classics and other wonderful majors that certainly may be slightly easier. But why does it matter.

Since BC does not publish admission stats by college, you have absolutely no way to be “100% positive”. But since you raised the topic, would you say that CSOM admission is just as hard for females?
