I've applied to a bunch of schools and some of them require that I send a CSS profile. 4 of which haven't even accepted me. I feel stupid filling it out for schools that will reject me. plus it's 25 a school? or 16? each... My cousin (soph at UMICH) filed it senior year in HS, it did nothing for him and he actually got more money not filing it after fresh year in college.. i don't know what i should do.. help?

If you do not want to be considered for fin aid from a school that requires the Profile then do not fill it out.

University of Michigan Office of Financial Aid: Current Undergraduates

returning students don't need to do the CSS at that school, only freshman.

if you don't do the CSS for schools that require it (as a prospective student) you will probably not get financial aid from them. It's not optional if the school requires it.

so submitting just FAFSA isn't enough?

college board is the devil.. they want more money!! ahh!! after APs, SATs, PSATs.. dang now CSS???

Some colleges only require the FAFSA, some require FAFSA and Profile, some require FAFSA and their own fin aid form. Look carefully at what your colleges require so you do not spend any more money on fin aid forms then you have to.
