CSS for International? Urgent!

Hi,

I am an " international" student because i don't have the green card. But I live in US. Colleges like Stanford or Duke recommend "domestic international" students to send CSS profile anyway, although it is not required.

Should I send CSS to JHU now? (note that I already submitted international financial applications well before the deadline. I am willing to send CSS profile if this could help.)

I will get the Green card within months.

I did, and I'm applying from Canada.

All financial aid applicants, whether domestic or international, must submit the CSS profile to be considered for aid from Hopkins.

I am an international student from Pakistan. Admissions Daniel, are you sure that even international students have to submit the CSS profile because I emailed the financial aid office and they said that I do not need to submit it. I hope you can clear this up. Here is the email they sent me:

International students should complete the International Student Application for Financial Aid only. You do not need to complete the CSS Profile. In regard to tax returns, you should submit a signed copy of your tax return and your parents' tax return. The signature on the return should be the signature of the filer or the person who prepared the tax return. If Pakistan does not have a tax return, we will accept a signed statement from your parents' employer or a banking instution that documents your parents' annual income. I hope that this answers your questions. If you have additional questions, please contact me again.

I stand corrected. Lesson to be learned here -- never trust an Admissions Counselor to answer Financial Aid questions.
