CSS Privacy?

<p>Can your schools see you school list on the CSS profile?</p>

<p>I understand that they do on the FAFSA, but you can send that in chunks. But the CSS?
I know some say this really shouldn't matter, but if I was in charge of admissions and students were sending exhaustive, ordered lists of the schools they were applying to, I certainly would take advantage of that. So I'd really like to know how public the PROFILE is.</p>

<p>Also, FAFSA can be filed as many times as you want, right? So I can send it out in five chunks when I really only need two?</p>

<p>A: Your PROFILE report, which goes to all of your colleges and programs, shows all of the colleges and programs you selected to receive your PROFILE information. Each college or scholarship program determines how the information is used, but typically, it is used for reference and research purposes and does not impact the financial aid decision made by the college or program. If you have specific questions, please contact your financial aid office.
