CSS problems

<p>When trying to submit my profile, I got this problem :
"Your parents' adjustments to income equal your parents' itemized deductions. Please review the responses to these questions (PROFILE Help Codes PI-130 and PI-150) and correct as appropriate."
PI-130: "Enter your parents' 2006 total adjustments to income claimed on their 2006 IRS Form 1040, line 36 or 1040A, line 20."
PI-150:"Enter the amount of your parents' itemized deductions for 2006 from their 2006 IRS Schedule A, line 28. Enter "0" (zero) if you did not itemize deductions."
I understand that the value in 130 cannot be the same as the one entered in 150. Why is that?
I would like to mention that my mother (who has sole custody of me) does not file US tax returns, as she is working in Romania.</p>

<p>Adjustments to income are different than Itemized Deductions, but it's a common error for folks not used to completing tax returns. I'd guess that the software checks for this because the error is so common.</p>

<p>Look at a 1040, and you'll see the difference between the two.</p>

<p>Thanks !
Now, another problem...
My parents are divorced, and my father had to complete to non-custodial parent profile. He paid the 23$ fee and submitted it. My question is: did he have to choose the schools to which it would be sent? Or does the NCPP just get attached to my CSS profile and is sent to all the schools I chose when I submitted my CSS ?</p>
