CSS Profile accident

OK, I made a huge mistake that may cost me a fortune...

I found out about the CSS profile a week ago and was going to fill it out this past week but completely forgot to with everything else going on. The deadline is today and since I'm already late, I don't want to wake up my parents who need to wake up very early for work tomorrow. I wouldn't have been able to finish it in time anyways.

I know I made a really stupid, irresponsible mistake so please don't bash and just give advice if you have any. I will definitely call the admissions office tomorrow to see what the penalty is like. I heard that the top tier schools are generally more flexible about these deadlines but I just need to confirm that submitting the form a day late won't be TOO big a deal.

I believe that students who submit late forms will be given less scholarships and other opportunities for money...does that also apply to students who submit them a day late?

Thanks,
Dixiesilverjojo

Rice is very accommodating
Nuff said

You’re FINE, really!!! Rice meets full- institutionally determined need for all accepted students, even if their forms are late. The early deadline for the Profile is so that they can give you an estimated financial aid package when/if they offer you acceptance in December. It won’t affect whether you get offered a merit scholarship or not, or your financial aid. The financial aid package will be an estimate, since they can’t give you a final package until they see the 2009 tax returns. Chill, but try to get the forms in asap.

@amdn: haha yeah I’m beginning to realize that (:

@anxiousmom: thanks so much! I guess this whole admissions process has made me insanely paranoid. I will get them in asap.
