I just submitted my FASFA a couple days ago, and my EFC was rather high. I was told that I should also submit the CSS Profile because it will take into account the fact that I am the oldest of seven children. When I went on the CSS Profile webpage, I found that the priority deadline for submitting the Profile to Case was January 1, 2005! Obviously I missed the deadline. Case never sent me anything regarding this deadline, and I was waiting for my parents to finish their 2004 taxes before completing the Profile. Should I still submit the CSS Profile to Case, or would I be better to just stay with my FASFA? Thanks in advance for your help.

Case claims they don't use the CSS. They supposdly use their own financial aid calculator which is on their web site. Last time we tried to fill it out though it wasn't working. They said it should be working any day now. They also need FAFSA I believe.

On the Case financial webpage http://finaid.case.edu/Finaid.aspx?Application_Process&Option=Freshmen&bhcp=1 under step 5, it says that all freshman are encouraged to submit the CSS profile. I have to submit the Profile for Notre Dame, and I was wondering if I should send it to Notre Dame too.

I've emailed Case twice about this. Both times I was assured that it was not neccessary to hit the January 1 deadline and that if the CSS is submitted, they will certainly consider it. My advice would be to go ahead and submit it. That is the impression I got from both the emails I received. (once I asked in Nov again in Jan)

thanks for the help!
