CSS Profile Correction

I submitted my CSS Profile already, but I have to make a correction to the amount from expected scholarships.

I know the procedure (which is a pain-in-the-butt, but that's another topic) of printing out my Profile and then mailing the corrections to each school.

My question is, since I based my CSS on estimates for both my parents and myself, do I need to do corrections for the questions regarding 2007 taxes? I haven't received my W-2's yet and thus haven't completed my 2007 taxes. If I have to correct my estimates to the actual amounts, which shouldn't be that different, then I'll wait to correct my scholarship award amount mistake.

Thanks for the help!

I think we do need to replace 2007 estimates with the actual tax return data, but you can wait to make all your corrections at once, as long as you meet the colleges' deadlines for submission. Even then, I believe they will accept corrections after you have filed with them. I am a first-time Profile submitter myself, however, so my experience is severely limited.

In fact, I have a question of my own for the more experienced out there: In addition to 2007 tax return data, do we need to make corrections to our 2008 estimated income, in case someone gets a raise, bonus, or new job at higher pay? I've read you should not be optimistic and assume raises, bonuses, or promotions which haven't happened yet, but if they do, do you have to go back and correct your 2008 estimates?
