On the Cornell application it says that the CSS Profile is due to be completed/postmarked for ED by 11/1 yet on the actual CSS site it says that it must be "submitted at least a week before the earliest priority filing date specified by your colleges and programs." This "priority date" for Cornell is listed as being in the middle of March. So what is the difference between what Cornell is saying and what Collegeboard is saying? I'm kind of in a rush now since the counselor said we didn't have to do anything for financial aid yet, and here we are with all of this stuff to do now with CSS, Aid Application, and Income Taxes.

11/1 is the ED date; the other date is for RD. Cornell needs to have financial aid info ready for its ED applicants as of the time they notify them of admission, so they need the information sooner.

Also, if the Profile info says "a week before" then you want to have your info complete a week before the November 1 deadline. It takes the CB time to process their application.

wait.. this isnt good
if I submit it tommorow, will it be fine?

Well, I submitted it.

Wow, I am so glad I am reading this...I missed the 1 week ahead of deadline instruction for the CSS. So, if I submit it today, Saturday 10/28 will it make it to the school by 11/1 for the early action deadline?

You will be fine - they go by the postmarked date not the date they receive it. good luck.
