CSS Profile Down!?!

I’ve tried Firefox, Opera, Safari, IE and chrome on multiple computers and still can’t get to the form. Princeton doesn’t require CSS/profile so I did that one while waiting. Hope my son likes community college.

Crap… collegeboard just took the site down! :(

Now the page just says “this page is temporarily unavailable”. Does anybody know if a Feb 1 deadline mean you can submit the profile on Feb 1 or is 11:59 pm Jan 31st the deadline?

Feb 1 deadline means 11:59pm on Feb 1

i’ve been trying to fill it out for like 5 hours with no success. i guess i will have to do it early in the morning

That is some relief, Thank you.

Log on around 7AM tomorrow morning. The server load will be much lower. That said, I filled mine out and got kicked off right before I could pay, then did it all again and it went through (around 6:45 est). Good luck everyone.

Arrggggh! I got about 3/4 of the way through and it died. At least I made it past some “save” points. I now know some of these numbers by heart.

One question about the CSS Profile

Under Parent’s assets does the “cash, savings, checking account” want the physical, right-now-at-this-moment how much my parents have in their wallets/bank account?

bump…

Keep fighting the good fight, CCers. I’m going to try early tomorrow, too. 'Night.

can anyone answer my question? post #29

@powerbomb

Yup, it’s the right-now-at-this-moment assets, not future gains/interests. My parents just estimated, don’t go OCD over these figures.

If you included credit cards and the potential assets, you would have numbers off the charts!

powerbomb, Yes the parents assets “cash, savings, checking account” is a still picture of today, and if you are ever audited ( according to sites I have read only some people are) they would look and try to determine if you were telling the truth. Most people have a changing amounts in their accounts month to month. They are looking for savings/checking of 150,000 vs. 10,000 I am guessing.
BTW, I am sooooo mad too cause I only found out today that one of my son’s deadlines is tomorrow, so I started this morning had no problems, then had to go out. Now I can’t get on. I guess going to bed and getting up in middle of night to finish might be a good way to do it. Not sure how tomorrow will fare, I work 12 hours! ( to pay for college of course)

Powerbomb, it’s a picture of today, but even that is questionable - what about pending debit transactions, or the mortgage check that has already been mailed. As long as the balance can be explained, you should be okay.

88 fingers, same here - we found out on Friday that one of the schools has a 2/1 dealine for CSS Profile.

I’ve been inching my way toward completion for 5 or 6 hours. What an ordeal. I’m doing lots of other stuff while waiting, so it’s not a total waste of time.

Wow what colleges are you guys all applying to with such early deadlines? My deadline is April 30th for the school.

Thank you!

One more question : “annual mortgage and rent payments” < does this imply for houses only? or for apartments too?

bummppp…

umm I guess it would since you’re renting your apartment.

Anyways I’m still curious, what schools have these super early February first deadlines?!
