Is there a waiver for the completing and sending the profile? I found this on Questbridge, but I don't see anything along the lines of "fee waiver":

All students are charged $25 for the initial application. This covers the costs of creating your PROFILE Application and the first school report. You will be charged $16 for each additional college or program to which you want information sent. This covers the cost of processing and reporting your information to those colleges and programs. A limited number of fee waivers are granted to first-time college applicants from families with very low incomes and few assets. The fee waiver covers the cost of PROFILE registration and reporting to up to six colleges or programs. Fee waivers are awarded automatically online based on family financial information. You don't need to apply for a fee waiver.

I've filled out the entire thing already. I just don't know where this "fee waiver" is supposed to pop up.

Basically right when you get to the payment screen that would be a message stating you qualify for a waiver. Anyways, I didn’t get one because in order to qualify, the income + all assets (business, home) must be lower than 34k.

I contacted QuestBridge, and they said the only way to get a fee waiver would be to contact the individual schools.

I got an automatic fee waiver when I reached the payment screen, which is good for up to 6 colleges. My ex-wife, on the other hand, had to pay $25 when she completed her non-custodial parent portion.

I don’t see how contacting the individual schools will help – this is a fee paid to College Board to forward the financial data, not an application fee to the school, which should be waived for all QB finalists.

Should my counselor call all of colleges for fee waiver codes?
Should she call admissions or financial aid for each college?
I know she doesn’t like calling because she is on hold for a long time, so I held the phone for a while and had to hang up and was almost tardy.

Why does College Board charge high fees for
1–the application I fill-in online
and
2–a fee for each college

Wondering if College Board wants to discourage us from applying to colleges by charging high fees?
