CSS profile for Ivies - submission date

For RD applicants, do the Ivies want the CSS profile submitted before the application? Or is it okay to submit the profile in January/February along with the FAFSA? I was hoping someone could give me a short answer.

Thanks.

Check the financial aid website at each school that you are applying to because there is not one “set date”. Meet the deadline that each school requests and you should be fine.

And while you’re checking for the Profile deadline, make sure you check for ALL that is required to complete your financial aid application at EACH school (Profile, FAFSA, School form, tax returns, etc) and check the deadlines for EVERYTHING.

Thanks for the responses. I was hoping the Ivies set similar deadlines. I’ll check each school separately, then.

They’re not all the same, I know that Y is March 1, while at least D and B are Feb 1.

Check to see what is required at each school as well…this varies along with the deadlines. Princeton, for example, has its own financial aid form…not the Profile. Each of these schools has its own list of required things and the deadlines for submission.

Thanks for the responses.

I mostly wanted to know whether any of the Ivies require financial aid forms before January 10th.

I plan to work on my applications until the January 1st deadline, and then start financial forms. I’m not really looking for individual deadlines for the Ivies - just wondering whether any of them want financial stuff before 1/10.

They’re one in the same, looking up the deadlines tells you if any are due before Jan 10 ;). Not trying to give you a hard time, but FA deadlines are very important, so even though there are great posters here on CC, IMO, EVERYONE should check the FA websites of the colleges they’re interested in and get all of the deadlines and requirements there–at the primary source.

The application is almost always submitted first. Most, not all, have FA deadlines of Early February. We completed the forms together at the end of January. You should still check the specific schools for their FA deadlines
