Hey all,
I uploaded all of the required documents onto the IDOC (parent tax returns, w-2, student tax waiver, dependency form). There are no files / documents requested under this section any longer.
As such, CSS profile states: “ALERT: All required documents have been submitted and are processed.”
However, right above this section and alert, there is a table displaying “Institution Requesting Documents”
I want to ensure that this table is there because:
A. These schools will be the ones using my financial information.
B. There is a discrepancy and my financial information has not reached these schools. Further action is necessary.
Also, I am applying to 12 schools and only 6 (half) are on this “Institution Requesting Documents” list.
Does this mean that only these six schools require my financial information prior to enrollment. OR that the other six schools received my financial info, but these six listed schools have not?
Thanks, I appreciate it.
Different schools require different kinds of financial documents, and the requirement for how they should be delivered are also different. For example, some schools that use CSS Profile ask that documents be sent through IDOC, while other schools that use CSS Profile don’t use IDOC at all and want the documents delivered some other way. The bottom line is that you will need to look at the financial aid requirements on the website of each school. And for those schools that use IDOC, there may be a delay of several days to several weeks between when the documents are uploaded to IDOC and when the school indicates that they are in receipt.
@BelknapPoint The only schools on my list that do not use IDOC is Boston College. I have mailed them physical copies. Everything else uses IDOC, so that is why I am a bit perplexed. Regardless, I have listed all of them onto my CSS Profile and have all of the financial documents on the IDOC. So, I should be good, but just want to confirm because financial aid is very important.
