Hi guys,
I have two questions regarding the CSS Profile and the NCP Profile,

I am currently applying to several colleges and I to some of them through Early Action (EA). I have to send the CSS Profile by December 1st, 2014 the latest for the EA colleges, but I was wondering whether I could send the CSSP to all colleges even if I have not submitted my application yet.

If my mother lives in Dominican Republic and is married to someone who resides in the U.S and claims her in his taxes, should I use his taxes for the NCP Profile? (In Dominican Republic there is no taxes return system, btw.)

Just adhere to the deadlines for each college.

If your mom (your non-custodial parent) is married, you are required to list both her income/assets and her husband’s in the NCP Profile. It doesn’t matter what country they reside in.

Each school has its own deadline. If you want to send them all out at the same time as some people I know have done, go on ahead. It could mean more schools that you have to hand correct the numbers as the real numbers are obtained from filing the tax returns. As of now, you are pretty much guessing since 2014 is not over.

For those schools that require NCP PROFILEs, read the rules carefully. Yes, most of them will want to see both your mother and step dad’s financials, but there are some exceptions, Duke, for instance, in some cases. Again each school is permitted to set the rules for self and they do not always pertain to other schools.

Your NCP is supposed to fill out the forms, not you. Provide them to them and let them fill them out.

Thank you for your reponses, Thumper and Cptofthehouse I really appreciate your answers and suggestions.
Momtocollegekids, my mother does not know English and my step-father does not know how to fill it out. Unfortunately, I have to do it for them because of that. Once again, thank you to all.
