CSS Profile Non-Custodial Dilemma

Well my non-custodial parent is filling out the form currently but it asks for ex-spouse income. My father has adamantly said he dos not want my mom knowing his income and therefore will not disclose it to her. How can we fill out this portion? Should we leave it 0? It is obvious what her ex-spouse income is because it's the custodial parent!! Why would it ask this of her? How would she know?

I have not personally done this, so I don’t know exactly the mechanism for doing it – hopefully someone will answer your question who does – but your non-custodial parent will fill out his part of the application separately, and neither you nor your mother will have access to his information at all.

Your non-custodial parent will NOT be able to access the custodial parent info AND the custodial parent will not be able to access the non-custodial parent info…at least that is my understanding.

^^^^

True…

But, the OP’s statement is odd…

*my non-custodial parent is filling out the form currently but it asks for ex-spouse income. My father has adamantly said he dos not want my mom knowing his income and therefore will not disclose it to her. How can we fill out this portion? Should we leave it 0?

Are you saying that your dad (who is the NCP) is filling out HIS portion, and it is asking him what YOUR MOM earns? I think HIS SECTION may be asking what his current spouse earns.

Or…is your mom the NCP and she’s trying to fill out the form??? Is it asking what HER current spouse’s income is?

I don’t think it asks divorced spouses to input what the ex earns. It does ask what new spouses earn.

Supposedly, each ex has his/her own passwords and only accesses his info.

Please clarify what you’ve written above. Thanks

BTW…is this CSS Profile or the school’s own form?

Post 4 is correct. Each parent fills in the data for themselves and THEIR current spouse…not the ex-spouse.

CSS Form. Sorry, my mom confused something in the application. She stated that she needed her “ex-spouse income to fill out her form” and I was like great… This isn’t going to work out.
