CSS Profile question (separated parents)

If my parents are separated, for my profile - not my non-custodiary parent's - do I put both parents' info. E.G. they ask "Enter the amount your parents have in their cash, savings, and checking accounts as of today," do I combine my both of my parents' savings, or do I put my custodiary parent's savings?
There was a notification about this at the beginning, but I forgot if it applied for both "parents' and parent" type of question or just "parent."

Thank you!

To the ones that have the same question, by parents, they mean the one you live with. Just read it in their FAQ

Are these schools that ask for the info of your Non Custodial Parents? If so, then the NCP’s info goes on that form…but they fill that out.

If your parents are separated, then you have your custodial parent fill out the PROFILE, and for those schools that also require the non custodial parent’s info, you have the NCP fill out that part of the form. So the part you complete has a parent’s section which needs to be completed by your custodial parent, or if you are completing it for your parent, get the info from that parent. Does that make sense? So only your custodial parent’s income and assets are included on the parent part that is submitted with your info. You then need to send a NCP form to your other parent to fill out. Any child support, alimony, that your custodial parent receives has to be on the form completed with you as his/her income in the appropriate spaces. Your NCP has places on his form to adjust accordingly. When the two forms are added together, it should come to both your parents’ incomes and assets, just separately reported. If there are any step parents in the mix, their info also needs to be on the form with the respective parent.

Yes, my N-C parent and I filled it out. What threw me off is that they asked for parentS’ income. They didn’t include the (s)’ instead. Thank you for the responses!

If your non-custodial parent is married, that spouse’s income MUST be included as well. Thus the plural form.
