CSS Profile question

I got to the end of the application and it asked me for a credit number. It says you get fee waivers if you have a net asset of less than around 34k. So I was wondering what is included in the net asset?

I live in a 4 member household with income of 28k, 6.5k in bank/savings, and live in a 280k current market value house (finished mortgage payment). Do I apply for fee waivers? I'll hate to ask my parents to pay over $70 for this even though they would, so I want to make 100% sure I don't qualify. =/

You are probably over the income level to qualify for the automatic fee waivers. I don’t know if there are any other kind of waivers available other than the automatic ones based on the information you filled in on the Profile. You do know that you are applying to very expensive colleges if you are filling out the Profile, correct? The amount of money to send the Profile is a small amount compared to the cost of college. That’s no consolation I know, but try to keep perspective. Do you have a financial safety school you are willing to attend?
