Current value of tax-deferred and after-tax retirement, pension, annuity, and savings plans such as an IRA, Roth IRA, Keogh, SEP, 401(a), 401(k), 403(b), 408, 457, 501(c)"
My mom does not know where she would find this information. The W2 form only lists the payments made towards tax-deferred pension and retirement savings plans, not the current value of it. Where do you access the current value of such thing?
Quarterly brokerage statements if retirement accounts are in IRAs or 401Ks. If she’s a teacher or has a company pension, she would get quarterly or annual updates on the value of monthly retirement payouts.

Daily balances of these kinds of accounts can usually be tracked through online access by the account holder. If your mom doesn’t have and can’t get online access to her information, she should contact the HR department of current or former employers, or contact the account administrator, depending on what type of account it is (e.g. employer-sponsored 401(k) or self-directed IRA/RothIRA).

She should be able to get these values by looking online, looking at her quarterly statements, or contacting her HR folks.
At the very least, she should have a quarterly statement, and that also might have contact information so she could get the most up,to,date numbers.
