CSS Profile - Savings Account

Hello everyone,

Just a quick question. I'm applying as a transfer to USC and submitted all documentation already. However, I didn't include money in my savings account. I'm applying for independent status (have received it at other colleges) and my income was about $20,000 last year with no assets. I have $8,000 in my savings account for living expenses when I move back to Cali in June and forgot to put this on my CSS Profile because it's an account that I don't pay much attention to with direct deposits and whatnot. Should I report it to USC or should I withdraw the money and put it in a safe deposit box? Would it make a huge difference if I didn't report it? I'm hoping for 100% aid.

Bump…Anyone?

Anyone???

It doesn’t matter where the money is, in a savings account or in cash under your mattress; it’s an asset. You need to correct your Profile form to report the money as an asset.
