I'm Canadian, so do I have to fill in the CSS profile? I have the impression that only U.S. citizens have to fill it in? I went to the website but could not find anything D: I'm really stressing out because if I do need to fill it, I need to start NOW as the ED is due in 7 days :O

thanks!

If you want financial aid you are going to have to fill out some sort of financial aid form. Give us the name of the school and we can try to find the info since you say you tried. Some schools have special procedures for Canadian citizens, some treat them like any other international student.

@annoyingdad thank you so much for the reply!! I’m applying to Upenn ED, and I already know that they are need blind to canadians, and I already know that I have a Upenn form to fill up. I’m just so confused about whether I need to fill up the CSS form.

I’m also applying to NYU ED2 with financial aid, and I really tried looking for info but its so confusing… my mom doesn’t really know what to really do, as I just hand her forms to sign. I have 3 major papers and 2 tests this week and I’m so stressed out D:

Oh, I’m specifically a Canadian permanent resident…

thank you so so so much!

How much can your family afford to pay each year for college (in American dollars)?

Since you aren’t a Canadian citizen, but a permanent resident, I would email or call the financial aid office of both UPenn and NYU tomorrow to find out for sure where you fall in the procedures.

Do you have Canadian safety schools in case you wouldn’t get in to UPenn or NYU or it turns out you can’t afford them?

Yep! I definitely have safeties because I’m prepared that I’m not getting in thanks guys! it seems like Upenn doesn’t need CSS forms, but NYU does.
