<p>So here I am, ready to submit my CSS Profile, when I realize that NYU isn't listed under the schools you can submit it to. Does NYU really not take the CSS Profile, or am I just completely missing something? If they don't take CSS, what do they use besides FAFSA to determine your need?</p>

<p>Yep, Only the FAFSA. NYU goes strictly by FAFSA numbers. Though the EFC (Expected Family Contribution) that is derived from FAFSA does not mean you will get aid that matches that EFC.</p>
<p>That is, a low EFC does not necessarily mean you will get a full aid package, unless you consider different types of loans in the aid package.</p>
