<p>Is the CSS/Profile something we have to really do? Why do they charge $18 per college for just giving us a form to fill out??</p>

<p>If your college request the CSS Profile ( which is common for schools that have institutional funds for grants and scholarships) yes you must file it as your finanical aid package will be incomplete until you file. The college board also forwards the information to the colleges. Sadly it does cost money to file.</p>
<p>On the Profile site i believe there's a list of schools that require the css profile, so you should check that out :)</p>
