<p>My family isn't very good with money. We don't have much and yet my parents are planning on buying a new, expensive car even though we just bought a new Camry a few months ago. I'm worried this is going to negatively impact my financial aid for college. At least one of the colleges I am applying to has the car question on the CSS profile (where it asks about your family's cars, model, year, cost, etc). I've tried talking them out of it but they won't listen. Will our cars significantly impact my financial aid? I'm paying for my college and I don't want to be punished because of my family's bad financial choices. </p>
