This is a question asked in the student resources section:

“How much does the student expect to receive from the following sources to pay for educational expenses for the 2018-19 academic year?”

Most of this will come from my parents. However, the question asks for educational expenses, so would this include housing and other expenses for college? I’m an international student applying to UPenn who needs financial aid, and they have tuition and housing costs. We can afford to pay ~$15000 of the total $72000, so should I work out the percentage of the tuition cost and multiply that by 15000, or should I just put 15000 down? I hope I’m clear enough! Thanks.

You put the amount you can pay per year. So if your parents can pay $15000 per for the 2018-2019 school year…you put $15,000. Just like the question SAYS!

Also, I understand you want an answer…but really…your question isn’t urgent at all.

It says education, not total college expenses. But thanks for the advice, I’ll just put the total amount my parents can pay.

Your college education expenses INCLUDE your tuition, fees, room, board, books, travel and personal expenses. Look at the cost of attendance for your colleges…all of these things are included.
