If the colleges request those things, you must send them in order to be eligible for aid. Check their websites for information about what forms each school needs.

You should have gotten a email from IDOC that lists the specific schools that want your taxes mailed to IDOC Collegeboard, NOT to the school. Send only one copy of that (even if more than one school requires IDOC, they will make copies themselves) . Then go on the rest of the schools websites and they tell you what info. they want and sent where. If it doesn't say anything about IDOC, mail it to the address they ask for. I can help you out; tell me what schools you're applying to and I will post every exact website the tells specifically for every school what they want, when, and where to mail it. I will tell you which ones require IDOC or not.

Yep, I sifted through my email records and found the email, and now have the IDOC form printed out and everything. I looked up all my schools and I think I have the IDOC part settled.

Some of my remaining schools requested 2005 returns and W-2s, so I'm mailing those out tomorrow.

The remaining seem to suggest that they don't require them (2005 returns, I mean). This seems a little strange to me, so if you can confirm this, it would be much appreciated :) They are: Caltech, Case Western Reserve, UMass-Amherst, and UMichigan (where I have already been accepted, so it seems doubly strange). Thanks in advance, I really appreciate it.

when did you guys receive the IDOC cover sheet? i thought they were going to be snail mailed, but they were e-mailed? i haven't gotten one and i'm starting to get worried because Mar. 1 is the 2005 tax document deadline for a few of my schools.
