I got a D in my second semester of HP English my junior year. I’m only applying to CSU’s and I’m currently taking an online class to make up for that D but college apps open up next weekend, what do I do?
Until you have a the repeat grade on your transcript, you have to report the D and it will be calculated into your CSU GPA. When will you complete the on-line class? If you have a grade before the Nov 30th deadline, then you can replace the D with the repeat grade. It has to be the exact same class for the repeat grade to replace the D. If not, both grades will be have to reported and used in your CSU GPA. If you will not complete the class before the Nov 30th application deadline, you can still submit the application indicating the on-line class is still in progress.
If you are accepted to a CSU, they may ask for Mid-year transcripts to make sure passed the class and for sure you will be required to submit a final transcript upon enrolling to ensure you have passed your a-g courses Senior year.
