Hello
I am parent of HS2014 student in So Cal. We are applying for CSUs near by. Here is my question. If our choice of major is impacted and competitive, and the eligibility index is low for my son, what happens? Will CSU consider him for alternative major? What if alternative major also got full? Will he get admission into another major or undeclared?
My son has 2.9 GPA, 1850 SAT score, SAT Physics : 670, SAT Chemistry: 710.
He is aiming for computer science majors.
Thanks for your input.

Different CSUs may have different policies; it may also depend on if the student is in the local service area of the CSU.

Note that only superscored SAT CR+M or ACT (without writing) matter as far as test scores go.
