I cannot find them anywhere! Do CSU's not require essays of any sort? Is it just the UC's? Also I heard that you should submit an essay if you are applying for an impacted major but where are the prompts?

In general, CSUs do not require admissions essays. Some impacted majors and campuses have additional requirements, and the additional requirements may or may not include an essay. Check here for information about which majors/campuses are impacted [Impaction | Student Academic Support | CSU](http://www.calstate.edu/SAS/impactioninfo.shtml) . If your selections are impacted, investigate the website of the campus to which you are applying for more information about additional requirements. It is likely they will contact you with the additional requirements after you submit your application to CSU Mentor.

CSU’s are numbers indexed based for admissions. If essays were involved they’d need armies of readers to weed through a lot of very bad essays.
