CSU Application - help with course entry and planned comm. college class

Hi
Helping my twins with their CSU applications. It’s pretty straight forward for the most part but have 2 questions:

In the Section “High Schools Attended”, there is an option at the bottom of the page that we hadn’t noticed before called:

LOGO CaliforniaColleges.edu: “California residents, use your CaliforniaColleges.edu account to add high School transcript information to your application. Show me how”

Is this advisable over manually entering your courses? Can you still input manual edits once you do this option (ie middle school math that counts)?

Second question- in order to maximize the number of semesters in Visual/Performing Arts, per the advice of admissions counselor at SLO, my daughter is taking a comm. college music class in the spring. We were advised to add this under the question: Have you taken and earned college credits through a community college or university.
However, we cant’ find that in the application?? Anyone know where to find that?

Thanks!

See page 10 on the link regarding college courses: https://www.calstate.edu/apply/freshman/Documents/freshman-application-guide-21-22.pdf

We did not use the CaliforniaColleges.edu account but just entered the academic history off the HS transcript.

We did link the transcript from the high school through CaliforniaColleges.edu then edited after that. I had to fix my son’s calculus classes because the high school actually put them in California Colleges wrong. They accidentally gave him too many math credits because of how they entered it (listing a full year class in a single semester slot twice) so I had to manually edit his math. I had to manually add the summer school classes and I had to remove a class from HS that was getting reported in the college section. I also had to add the A-G stuff that was missing from a couple classes. But I still did find it easier to bring it in and then edit it.
