I'm applying as an out-of-state student to multiple CSU schools and on the application, I was wondering a few things...

After struggling with getting ahold of someone at the school I found out that in order to qualify for a review of acceptance, or whatever, I need to make up the semester of LA I in order to apply. I have to make it up because the spring semester, I recieved a D for even though my year average in the class was a B. :/ They said that I could take a BYU course or attend a California Community College and complete 30 credit hours and then transfer. I picked the BYU course but when I entered it into the application, it counted the credit but there isn't like a CEEEB code that I can enter that I know of, it just says Brigham Young University. Is that okay? Should I enter BYU under my college information, even if it is just an independent study for a highschool course? Also, if someone could PM, I don't know if I'm filling it out correctly . . .

If anyone can answer the following questions, it would be much appreciated!!!

Are there any scholarships/financial aid options for out-of-state students?

I graduate in May 2012 and, in the summer, I plan on moving to California. I will only be 18 at the time. If, and HOPEFULLY!!, I do get accepted to SFSU then, my term will start on Oct 1. When the term starts I will have turned 19. I do plan on claiming residency in California. I will be MOVING there after I graduate. So, while I'm in college, can I claim residency in California, if I'm a student there? I've read some things about it but nothing really clears up the process for me . . .

In addition to the last question, if I apply for residency and am granted it, can I claim in state tuition and exemption fees and etc?

I might think of some more questions .... I'll just comment with them. Thanks again if you have answers!
