I have a question with regard to CSU application.
In its extracurricular programs questionnaire.
#) did you hold or have you held any leadership positions in those activities, e.g. class president, club president, team captain, yearbook editor, etc.?
I don’t have a VP title, but I have been working on tasks that have leadership characteristics, for example, mentor, guide, organizer, etc.
should I say “yes” to the question?
If you were within those clubs/organizations that have a title then I would think that you couldn’t because those students will make that claim.
However, if you are in what I call a “lame duck” club, and you actually were in charge of events as an organizer or mentor, then yes, answer yes to the question: Add “event organizer” as your description.
Your counselor should also be able to address your leadership skills.
if you have a defined role, that someone could validate if asked, you should be fine.
They might ask you to produce proof of anything on your ap.
I’d add that ECs really don’t play a big role in CSU admission decisions.
Good luck!
