So next year I'm planning to attend a CC over my CSU. I was just wondering if anyone else who did that and was successful?

Also, if anyone knows anythings about Leave of Absences?

So next year I'm planning to attend a CC over my CSU. I was just wondering if anyone else who did that and was successful?

Also, if anyone knows anythings about Leave of Absences?

I worked with a few students who did that. There are some UCs that offer Transfer Admission Guarantee to students who have 4-year college credits.

Are you asking about absence from the UC or CCC?

I’m asking about taking a leave from my CSU. I wanted to know if I could take a leave for one year at my CSU so I could attend a CC.

If I didn’t get into any of the UCs I would return to my CSU.

And do you know which UCs still offer TAG to those with 4 year credits?

I know UCI doesn’t. The other two I’m gunning for is UCSD or UCD?

I went from private to cc, and I have been accepted so far into UCSD and UCSC, and am waiting on Berkeley. It works.

i went to sfsu, then sac city. i got into ucsd and ucd. go for it bro

Did either of you guys have IGETC completed before applied?
And did either of you TAG?

No, I wasn’t eligible for TAG or IGETC because I had completed so many units (~70) at a private university. I did however complete all the basic requirements to apply to a UC school, I just couldn’t be IGETC certified.

@nden

I was wondering how many units did you complete total? CC + Private and were you on a quarter or semester?

Also what major did you apply for, your GPA, and if you had any ECs?

Thanks

I don’t think it’s necessary to apply for leave of absence. You would simply stop attending the CSU (be sure to complete your current term or file the appropriate paperwork to withdraw) and enroll in CCC instead. If you wish to return to the CSU later, you would apply for readmission.

I believe both UCD and UCSD extend TAG to students with 4-year college units. You will need to consult your CCC counselor to make sure.
