I'm having a bit of a rough patch regarding my plan on transferring to a UC. So if you could just read through the plan, and if you find any issues or problems, or have any advice, please let me know.

I plan on transferring to my local CC from SFSU before this semester begins. I have 30 units completed, and hopefully, most of the units will transfer to the CC. If they don't, I plan on taking as many transferable units as I can in order to earn the 60-unit minimum for the UCs. I'll apply to the UCs this Fall, and hopefully be eligible for their Biology programs.

Please help if you can. Thank you.

Hi @SFSUConfused I’m not too sure what your issue is or advice you’re looking for from the information you gave.

Your plan sounds logical. Just make sure you stay in contact with all the counselors from SFSU, CC and your UC. Get as many credits as possible and use the Assist.org site to ensure you’re on track for whatever UC you’re trying to transfer too.

Always be aware, I think the hardest issues I faced were due to not knowing about deadlines because not all counselors give information and potentially missing good opportunities. Since you’re only doing a year in CC try to go for that 0/.5 priority system that I believe all California community colleges do. That will give you top priority when trying to get into your classes.
