What is your CSU GPA? <a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU;
Also calculate your Eligibility Index: (CSU GPA x800) + (SAT M+CR).
Repost with your results.

Eligibility index CSU: 3912

Eligibility index 3912

Your SAT Math score is low for an Engineering major and since most of the Engineering majors are impacted at the CSU’s you need to have a competitive score. You should be around 600+ for the best chances.

For SDSU, you need an EI of around 4100 for a good chance.

For SLO, average SAT (M+CR) was 1406 and you are at 1000.

SLO: Reach
SDSU: Low Reach
CPP/CSUF: High Match
CSULA/Sac State: Match

I applied to pomona for construction management do you think I have a better chance under this major

Yes, you would have a better chance at CPP for construction management but not at SLO. Every major is impacted at SLO.

Would you consider sac state a safety school for me?

You should have no problem getting accepted to Sac State.

Thanks gumbymom you are a huge help
Do you work in some sort of admission department for a college?

No, just a mom whom helped two sons in the last 2 years with UC/CSU applications and likes to do a lot of research on colleges. Good Luck to you.

Thanks good luck to your sons in their studies

Where are your sons attending

@joedirt97: Older son is a Sophomore at UC Davis. Younger son is a Freshman at SDSU.

Wow congrats to them

What would my chances to ucd or UCSD be

UCD/UCSD would be reaches. Average UC GPA is 4.0+ and SAT for UCD was 1952 and UCSD was 2018.
You might have a chance at UCR and UCM but with an Engineering major, you need to be above the average Stats.
Your best chances are at the Cal States you have listed.

Do you think I have a chance applying to any uc as physics major

The deadline to submit UC applications was Nov 30. I still think your best chances at a UC would be UCR and UCM.

Do you think the schools I applied to are well balanced in regards to safety, match ,reach?
