CSU Chico - spoke with Admissions Office

Last week I called the Admissions Office at CSU Chico and asked when admissions would start rolling out.
They indicated that they are focusing on “Local Admits” first. They explained this were “the closest 12 counties” near the school. The person indicated that non-local admits might not come out until March.

@OCDDad. One of my best friends heard from Chico two weeks ago that she was accepted. We live in San Jose. I have not heard anything yet, but hope we hear something soon!! The wait is so stressful

@OCDDad my daughter heard back in December, but a friend from school with similar stats still hasn’t heard. We’re in the SF Bay Area (not local).

We heard back in December and were admitted. Non local. Engineering 1220 SAT and 3.4 W GPA. They have “rolling” admissions. I have a feeling this is where he will end up. There’s a lot of good things about it.

My son’s portal just updated today. Admitted. Computer Science. So Cal resident. 1490 SAT; 3.35 CSU GPA. TONS of ECs.

Congrats!

Awesome!!

My GPA is 3.36 and SAT 1200. Kinesiology. Still waiting to hear…

please tell me you got in!

@Micheles10 Still waiting. My mom called and talked to a Freshman Coordinator. She told her that my app hasn’t been reviewed yet. I applied on 10/1/17!!! She did say that my EI score was good and that it “looked good” for me
to be accepted. One of my friend’s, who has a lower GPA and SAT score got in. I am loss for words at this point. This whole college app excitement is completely gone. I did get in to Sac and Sonoma, but Chico was my #1 choice.

My son got in - but I had to call too. And it took another day or so for the portal to be updated, and we still haven’t received an email or later a week later. We’re going up to visit next week, so hopefully it will be a bit more organzied then the app process!
