CSU credit counted in 60 unit transfer minimum?

I was in a program in high school where I could take a college course thru SFSU my senior year. I got an A in that class (Interdisciplinary Studies in Education 204 - University Bulletin - San Francisco State University) and listed those units in my UC application & well as being on my CCC transcript.

I spoke with UC admission counselors & they say that course won't fulfill anything in IGETC but can be accepted as elective units at UC. Will UC's count those 3 units towards my 60 unit minimum to transfer? Or just units completed at my CCC. Either way I'll have the 60 units done this spring. Was just curious if those CSU units would count as well.

I’ve taken Classes I know won’t transfer and I was told they would still count towards the 60 units with elective credit.

Source: summer program at ucla, I was able to get my transcripts looked at by an evaluator. My TAP coordinator at Cal said the same thing.

^ so is it safe to say they will definitely be counted into the 60? I’m looking around for articulation equivalents between CSU and UC

^ There are no articulation agreements between UC and CSU.

My evaluator said mine from an OOSU will be counted. However, I am still going to fulfill the 60 at CCC, just incase.

Not all courses are transferable, even as “elective units.” If the counselor said that they would be counted as elective units, then yes they will be totaled towards your 60. However, I would check with each UC you applied to because they all have different policies towards CSU units (if you care enough).

^ thanks all :)
