Thanks for your interest in California State University, East Bay (CSUEB)!

The Princeton Review selected Cal State East Bay as a “Best in the West” college in 2012 for the eighth consecutive year. The report is based on surveys of current students, who noted the following highlights about our University: affordable tuition, small class sizes, strong business, nursing, and teaching programs, diligent, career-minded students, and a multicultural community. Princeton Review also rated Cal State East Bay as a “Best Business School” in 2011, for the fifth year in a row.

In the 2009 guide, Cal State East Bay was noted for its exceptionally diverse student body, ranking as the second-most diverse master’s-granting university in the Western region.

If you are starting CSUEB as a freshman, you’ll be pleased to know that both the Lumina Foundation and Syracuse University have recognized Cal State East Bay’s Freshman Learning Communities as a national model. These communities allow incoming freshmen to begin the college experience with other students who share interests and career objectives. Our innovative program helps students to: earn higher GPAs, develop superior writing and communication skills, and graduate reliably in four years.

Cal State East Bay and CSU Channel Islands are both great CSU campuses so, regardless of accolades and awards, the best way to select a college is to take a campus visit. We suggest you speak with current students and professors to determine where you feel most at home.

We invite you to come see for yourself what makes Cal State East Bay so popular! Prospective students, families and friends are encouraged to visit campus to get to know everything the University has to offer.
