My stats:

CSU GPA: 2.2
Major: Business Admin - Marketing Management
Units completed: 92.5
AS-T: In Progress
Golden four almost completed except Math.
CSU’s I applied to: CSULA, Cal Poly Pomona, and CSU Dominguez Hills.
I might apply to CSU San Marcos.

I think this would be helpful to us transfer students. Post your stats.

CCC: City College of San Francisco
CSU GPA: 3.48
Major: Sociology
Units completed: 50
AA-T: Done in Spring
Golden 4: Done by the end of this semester
CSU’s applied to: San Francisco State, Sonoma State, CSULA
I was thinking of CSUN but I hear they only really take transfer students from the local area. I live in San Francisco and right down the street from SFSU so i’m hoping i’ll get priority for being local.

@boxandwhiskers Nice stats! I’m sure you will get in SFSU

@cathym09 Thanks! There’s some stupid issues going on with the communications class i’m taking, which is the class i’m taking this semester that is the last class I need to completely fulfill my Golden 4 requirements and I might have to take a different Communications class next semester but I won’t really know until Monday so now i’m just sitting here freaking out all day, but I think either way it will be fine.

Everything is going to be stressful for all of us until admissions decisions come out!!!

@boxandwhiskers Aw that sucks. I’m sure you will have it figured out. Have you spoke to your school’s counselor about it? Yeah tell me about it. It’s going to be a long wait! :frowning:

My stats:

CSU GPA: 3.82
Major: Nutrition and Dietetics
Units completed: 39 now, will have 60+ by end of spring
AS-T: Not offered for my major
Golden four: Math planned for winter; recieved As in the other 3
CSU’s I applied to: CSUN (first choice) and CSULA (only because I feel like I need to do more than one ap)
Other: Live in service area and completed most of CSU transfer units within service area, resident of CA for 2 yrs

Good luck!

@shellebelle212 Wow impressive stats! Good luck to you!

Thanks  I feel fairly confident but if I don’t get accepted to CSUN I’ll most likely do one more year of CC instead of going anywhere else… I have my heart set on CSUN, I wish we were able to do a personal statement so it would be more personable than just a numbers game :-<

@cathym09 Btw, that’s a lot of units! And they’re all transferrable coursework? Have you applied to CSUs before?

@shellebelle212 yes, they are all transferrable work. I have a lot of units because I attended CSUN for three semesters and also went to SDCC before. I am going to Fullerton College now. So yep three colleges total lol

@cathym09 Oh I see… I’ve been to a lot of schools too but almost none of all that work transferred because they were from out of state/private school, I’d have 90 something units myself it it had. I started almost from scratch in Fall 2014 so that’s how I ended up with my current transfer GPA, a blessing in disguise perhaps. I’m so ready to transfer though ._. lol I’ll probably do another yr at CC if I don’t get into CSUN… Why didn’t you stay there if I may ask? Doesn’t CSUN have a better business program than CSULA?

@shellebelle212 I didn’t stay at CSUN because I didn’t like the school at all. CSUN was one of my backup schools when I applied during senior year of high school. I also changed my major twice at CSUN. I went there as a graphic design major but then switched to Fashion design and production. I moved back home in Fall 2010 (I lived in SD at that time). I just felt like the school was just mediocre. Average professors, average looking campus, not much to do in the area. I also hated the weather there. I was too far away from home, so I felt like I was just there alone with no family. It was just a mistake going there. I should have applied to SDSU in high school.

Yes, CSUN has a pretty good business program. My aunt actually graduated there with an accounting degree.
But, it’s just not the right school for me.

@cathym09 Yikes, sorry to hear that. I visited CSUN a few times and liked the vibe, but then again I live in the San Fernando Valley and am used to the weather, and I’m married now so I don’t care much about the “college life” and all that. But it’s true, definitely not much to do around there, probably better for commuters… Best of luck with wherever you end up!

@shellebelle212 oh haha I see. Thank you!

CSU TRANSFER GPA: 2.2
MAJOR: RELIGIOUS STUDIES premed
UNITS: 61 BY THE END OF SPRING
GOLDEN 4’S COMPLETED BY END OF SPRING.
Im applying to CSUF, Chico, CSULB, and Humboldt. My UC gpa is way higher about 3.1 because UC’s forgive courses retaken at a different institution and CSUs only forgive retaken courses at the same school. Kind of weird so that screwed me gpa wise, hopefully I get in somewhere I don’t think religious studies is an impacted major so Im praying that i’ll get in. Good luck to you all.

@TwistedMetal246 Ahh I didn’t know UC’s does that. Are you planning to apply to UC’s next month?
Anyways, good luck to you!

yeah, I was pretty surprised that the UC’s are more forgiving, but I have a pretty good upward grade trend so hopefully they’ll consider that.

@cathym09 Yeah, Im applying to UCSD, UCI, UCD, and UCR also for religious studies. Im quite worried about the CSUs though because of the 2.2 gpa. Idk how that’s gonna play out even for humboldt.

@TwistedMetal246 Oh nice! Those are some good choices. Yeah, I’m worried too because I also have a 2.2gpa
and my first choice is Cal Poly Pomona. If I dont get accepted there, I guess I will have to go to CSUDH. :frowning:

@TwistedMetal246 are you transferring from a community college? CSU’s honor Academic Renewal just like UC’s do.
