@xrawritsalex: congrats! Damn I had a 3.3 when I applied but it went to a 3.2 so I don’t think I make the cut … I am still waiting for a decision though oh well thanks for informing me though!

Just checked online and was accepted.
Radio - tv -film
out of area, 3.2 GPA so I’m guessing the 3.3 GPA thing was a myth!
Oh I’m a transfer btw.

@lalaland: really congrats! That’s awesome we’ll that gives me hope!! did yours go from “no admission status at this time” too accepted? Or did u get that “your admission decision is now pending”?? Just curious because mine still says “no admission status…” So I’m still waiting lol :)

@britt mine said no admission decisions to “congratulations! you have been admitted” I checked this morning and then later on in the afternoon so I’m guessing they’re just updating as they go. Good luck, hope you get in!

@lala: awesome!!! aww thank you!!! :)

Interesting, I just checked MyTitan and aside from the financial aid stuff that was on my To Do List, it is now asking for my Final Transcripts. Do they want my Final Tranacripts after I finish the current semester? Or last semester’s transcripts which I already sent in? I am confused, anyone else get this as well?

@ricky yeah they mean the last one. they asked for my most recent with fall grades and then when they got that they started asking for final which is spring 2013. if they accept you on the letter it will say you have a time frame to send it to, at least unofficial if it’s not officially posted yet.

hi, i am new to this site but i am also still waiting for my admissions decisions. i applied for the aa-t in psychology degree with a 3.1 GPA and i still haven’t heard back… anyone else apply as an AA-T?

I just saw this thread, but I was accepted with distinction awhile ago (November, believe it or not!) as an out-of-state transfer student. Applying for Comm./Journalism program with a 3.78 GPA, Phi Theta Kappa, etc.

I should forewarn anyone that it took them forever to clear my Fall Grades from the To Do List despite the fact that I sent Admissions official transcripts back in January. It was literally removed LAST WEEK. In fact, if you even try to call Admissions, they’re so overwhelmed that they only open the phone lines for a few hours every day. It seems nuts.

Financial Aid, however, has been awesome.

I am going to look at my options closer to the June deadline, but I am seriously considering Fullerton over my other option right now (La Verne). That said, I have yet to hear from USC, Pitzer or Chapman. I’m nervous about the student population size and the fact that they may not complete my transfer evaluation until June, meaning that I could be forced to eat the $250 deposit if I discover they won’t take basic survey-level courses.

It is odd though, when my Official Transcripts and my Final Grades were on my To Do List aI turned them in, shortly thereafter they were taken off my To Do List. Now it is asking for my “Final Grades”. I am going to assume they mean the current semester’s final grades which obviously won’t be available till June. I am going to call tomorrow and hopefully be able to speak to someone to clarify things.

@RandomNewGuy Personally I would choose Fullerton over LaVerne but if you have a chance to go to USC by all means take it. It is a great school with a great reputation and an awesome Alumni network.

I am leaning heavily that way, it’s just that Fullerton is such a departure from what I am used to (a community college with 8,000 students). I guess I worry that in the Communications department, I will be just another number. I hope not. I really dug the campus (as did my significant other).

I feel like with my credentials that USC is probably a long shot. We’ll see.

On my to do list I have to send in my final transcripts, which I’m assuming is spring 2013 grades. Does this mean I’ve been accepted? I haven’t received a letter and it doesn’t say on my status. If they’re waiting for my final transcript how will that work? You have to accept the admission by 6/1 and school for me doesn’t end until June.

@gaby8e: if your status doesn’t indicate that you been accepted then no they just want your final grades when you have completed this spring semester. Once you complete this semester and your grades are up then that is when you must send them right away… Because mine is asking for my final grades too, but my status still says “no admission decision has been made at this time…” So now all we can do is play the waiting game till we see our status change :0

@Britt thank you! This is annoying, I just want to be accepted already haha. Good luck!

Yeah. Good luck to y’all.

Thanks yup good luck to you two if you get accepted let me know! :)

One of the CSUF’s admissions people came to my school yesterday and spoke about the overall transfer process, deadlines, etc. I ended up asking her about the “Final Transcripts” and it is for Spring 2013 just like Brit said, so it is imperative that you send them ASAP after they are posted.

FYI: if anyone is transferring with an AS-T or AA-T the deadline for the degree evaluation from their current school is April 1st.

@ricky, once we send in our final transcripts is that when we’ll know if we got accepted or not? Thanks for that information!

Ya I wonder if they are gonna wait till our grades or let us know soon I was told 6-8 weeks after our fall transcripts were processed and mine is going into the 8th week… Unless they are taking longer to hear from them.

It took them awhile to process my transcripts, I think they’re just overwhelmed - not that it points to anything negative.
