CSU- General classes in HS

I am posting this for a friend.
We are rising Seniors, and she took all general classes. She's was also in RSP and did not take a foreign language. My question would be can she get into a CSU with General Classes (CSUB to be exact)?
General classes are less then college prep for those that don't know,
She met all or will be meeting all A-G requirements except for foreign lang requirements

P.S. she took General because her parents wouldn't let her take CP for some reason, and they wouldn't take her out of RSP. Although she could easily do CP as she is smarter than most of our friends in our little group

After looking it up, I think their might be a reason for your friend to be in RSP. If there is, there is world of support out there for your friend. The CSU mentor and your HS guidance counselor will be great resources and if you want to know exactly what classes from your high school count towards the A-G requirements you can go the UC doorways website and look up your high school. You and your friend will need a copy of your transcripts from school to look up the exact titles of each class. Your GC can give you the transcripts. I am sorry I cannot post a link right now, my computer is giving me grief.

To answer you question about the language, their are exceptions made for some learning disabled students and you can ask CSU Bakersfield some of those questions as well as your GC. Good luck to you.

Thanks so much!

Without some special hand holding, they will probably automatically reject her. Have her contact - better yet sit down with - someone from Bakersfield’s admissions office. Suggest she take a campus tour and book 30 min with an admissions counselor. She might be too late but, they will tell her how to proceed.
