CSU GPA Honors Points

Does anyone know if every community college class taken in 10th-11th grade receives honors points for the CSU GPA? I plan on taking Statistics and Economics at a local community college during the summer after 11th grade. Since a semester community college class counts as two grades would that mean I also receive two honors points from each college class if I get a C or better? (4 honors points total from the two community college classes that im taking?)

Community college courses which are a-g course CSU/UC transferable will get the extra Honors points but these points are capped at 8 semesters total for 10-11th and at 4 semesters for 10th grade only. Yes, you would report the CC course twice on your CSU application and get 2 honors points for each course.

Another aspect to remember is that any CSU/UC transferable course taken at a CC would then follow you on your College transcript so you want to strive for A’s if possible, especially if you plan on attending Grad school.

If you have already maxed out your Honors points by end of 11th grade, the CC classes will help your HS course rigor but will not help your CSU weighted GPA.

Thanks!
