So my CSU gpa is a 3.5
My 10-12 weighted GPA is a 3.92

Does Cal Poly only look at my CSU gpa of 3.5? Does my 3.92 gpa even matter? Should I contact them and ask if I possibly calculated my gpa wrong, because that seems like a huge difference of .4!!

And I am applying for Ag Business, with a 1140 sat (580 M + 560 CR). How are my chances for this major, I know of about 8 people from my school who got in for ED in this major.
-By the end of my senior year I will have taken 13 ap/honors classes including 2 CC classes.

thanks!

No, your school GPA DOES NOT MATTER!!! All that matters is you CSU GPA.
If you got a decent number of B’s in those ap/honors classes, then that drop does make sense, because CSUs only let you count 8 semesters of weighted credit; you will have 26 by the end of senior year.
As far as chances, I’d say you have a good shot. You are only slightly below last years averages for Ag in GPA and right on in SAT, so I’d say you are a good match.

I called admissions earlier today and the guy told me they do NOT take the cap into account when they recalculate the gpa, so my gpa is actually significantly higher now without the 8 cap. Thanks for the info as well!! :)
