Csu Gpa

Actually, it might be as they take students within their service area first (high school and community college) before they go outside and I think your gpa can be a little lower. You can check the admissions site that you were looking at to be sure, I know I read it somewhere. I know quite a few people who got into UCSD from Orange Coast College in Orange County. Some community colleges have transfer agreements with SD, you can check that out too, do you live in California? Also you can take the ACT as many times as you want, just like SAT. My d took SAT 3 times and ACT twice. I also know a girl who is going to community college in Santa Barbara and living by the campus so she can hopefully get into UCSB as she has more of a chance than going to CC by her house.

Allright, I aske dmy counselor and she said that they aren't added into ur gpa before you are accepted or rejected but for the borderlines or last 20% who get in they ask. That summer, they redo the cutoff line with the 1st semester senior grade, not sure if they do 2nd also. So, it does matter quite a bit if you're stats aren't real good. Also, I looked at the peoples stats who were accepted last year and went and most had around a 3.3/1150 SAT but one had a 3.0/1000 and another with a 2.8/1210 SAT. I'm aiming for a 3.1 this semster to get my GPA up to a 2.68. Then hope to get around a 1250 SAT.

That is a great plan. You sound like a very responsible person amd I hope all works out for you. I'm sure it will! By the way, my d's gpa was 3.78 uw, 3.9 w, ACT was 23, SAT 1100 without writing (not too great), 4 AP's before senior year, 3 AP's senior year, passed 2 AP's so far with a 3. Out of service area but in-state. She also got into Cal Poly SLO, UCI, UCD UCLB and Fullerton but loves UCSD and probably will be attending there. Best of luck to you!
