Didn’t see one of these yet, so thought I’d start one.
Fullerton’s acceptances went out lastnight. Hopefully, other CSUs will follow suit.
does anyone know what date did the first decisions come out last year or any years before that? just trying to get a good estimate on what day I need do sit at by computer 24/7 and act crazy thanks
Feb 11 last year
oooo thanks!
My applicant status just got updated
“We have completed an initial review of your application. Due to the competitive nature of our admission process, we will not begin sending admission decisions until February. We appreciate your patience during this process. We will contact you by email, so check your email account regularly for messages from CSULB. Be sure to respond to our requests as soon as possible but no later than the deadline given.”
We’ll likely begin getting decisions starting next week
Wait what did yours say before?
My applicant status has been that since I submitted my application in November.
Yesterday it said this,
“Your application has been received and will be reviewed shortly. We will notify you by email should we need any additional documents. We will make every effort to provide you with a timely decision. Please be sure to check your email regularly for messages from CSULB regarding any admission decisions, upcoming deadlines, or required documents.”
Hm that’s interesting. My applicant status never showed that message at any point, even when I checked it the first time after getting my portal info back in early November.
Yeah no idea, it might have been stuck or it might be because my stats aren’t high. I think my STEM Index is 4200 and I applied to CS.
Wait I applied to CS too but I feel like my stats are kinda low. Haven’t calculated my STEM Index tho, but I didn’t get straight As in all of my math classes so uH.
Ye I feel you, I was calculating the STEM index for non local CS admits last year and the average was like 4000-4100 but this year is prob gonna be different because there’s no test scores
Yeah, other schools I applied to use similar indexes (Cal Poly & SJSU) but since there’s no kinda scores it’s hard to calculate if you have a good shot or not. But am glad they took out test scores entirely and didn’t just do test optional bc all the testing centers are still closed in my area so a lot of students including myself didn’t even have a chance to test.
who is super nervous if i get rejected from long beach state i will most likely have to go to chico state and I really don’t want to go there LOL . what majors did u guys apply to, I applied for pre-nursing
Applied at CSULB for Pre-Nursing as well haha, what were your stats?
hi!! omg hope we both get in!
stats
4.2 GPA (should be 4.3 but it says 4.2 on my app
8 AP classes
2 honors classes
few like health ish related classes: honors public health, sports medicine
lots of science classes, 6 core science classes, and 2 science related electives
5 math classes
4 years of orchestra, violin
first gen, low income
good extra activites but they don’t look at those sadly LOL
what are u stats?!
same i had no chance to test, i signed up for the SAT 5-6 times I think and all were cancelled , i live in california so thats kinda why LOL
have any of you guys heard anything? i thought that some decisions would’ve been released around now since in previous years they’ve begun to be released on either the first or second monday/tuesday of february.
No, I haven’t… it’s stressful waiting but I have not heard from of the CSU’S I’ve applied to yet. I applied to Sac, Long beach, and SF State. It could be because I applied to an impacted major bc I have heard that sf state and sac already has already been sending out decisions.
My status got updated to this today, "
Your application has been reviewed and we have determined that you are on track to meet CSU minimum requirements. Your application will now be considered in the competitive round of admission review."
I think we’ll get decisions starting tomorrow or sometime this week based off the previous years
