Son got admitted for Construction Management (via the on line check system, no email yet). CSU GPA 3.82. Weighted/unweighted HS GPA 4.4/3.6. In-state, not local area. 11 APs, 8 honors classes.
CS is very employable from a multiple of schools. Check out the career center for each CSU to see which employers recruit at their campuses. After a year or two working in the field, employers will not care where you went for Undergrad. Experience and knowledge will make you employable.

I got rejected today as a Marketing major. Had a 3.95 gpa. They said I met the minimum requirements but did not make the competitive cut off

Is it normal for CSULB to trickle out decisions or are these all transfer decisions?
Many of the CSUās will do decisions on a rolling basis. The transfer decisions should be posted in the Transfer 2022 Forum not in the Freshman Forum.
DS, UW GPA 3.52 denied for Mechanical Engineering, in state but not local. He knew it was a reach but I am shocked at the changes in admissions since I was in high school in California in the 80s.
Yeah, things are very different now. Crazy.
I find it odd that S22 still hasnāt gotten an email. He was accepted last week. Itās updated on the portal and available through the email push request, but an email notification generated by the school never came in. Itās not in his inbox, āotherā folder, or in Spam. Has anyone else who was accepted not gotten an email? Just curious. Not concerned.
