Me: Non-tradition transfer student, biology major, low GPA (2.8-ish), looking to transfer for Fall 2013.

Both of these colleges are more selective than is good for me, but on paper I like them both. But due to the fact they ARE such reaches, it's hard for me to justify spending the extra money to apply to both. I do have four other CSUs picked out that are better matches for my GPA, but why not toss in something else, right?

So I'm looking for thoughts and opinions on how the two measure up.

I’m in the same boat as you because I’m not sure if I should choose both or one, but I ended up choosing both (for now…who knows if it changes later, I certainly hope not because I hate being indecisive)

but where do you live? I’d go with whichever one is closer to you. They seem to be about the same in terms of academics so doesn’t really matter. I’d go with CSULB personally because it seems less of a party school.

Biology is impacted at both CSUs, so your best shot at admissions for either one would be whichever is closest to your service area (where you live). If ironically you live outside of both schools’ service areas at the same distance from each, then I would personally choose CSULB as well.

Omg i applied to those for fall too as bio but as a freshmen for fall 2013 Got denied but I heard t was hard to get into this yr. And im not local but maybe i’ll transfer
