Hi everyone, I've applied for Cal Poly Pomona in Oct31 and now they're asking me to take a placement test, does this mean I'm accepted to the school? I don't see why they would ask if they didn't accept me yet =

Thanks

No. All CSUs and UCs do this. It’s just simply a test to see if you were accepted, which classes you are allowed to take, to make sure you don’t take a class that is too hard for you. ^^ Just register for the placement tests. :)

Thanks for the answer bigbangVIP! Also does doing well on your placement positively affect your chances?

The CSU placement tests are for those who have scored below a certain score on the ACT/SAT and are for placement purposes only. If you need to take the test, the score will determine if you are required to take a remedial English or Math course before taking the courses required for graduation.
