CSU Sacramento or San Jose

I will be transferring this year at some point. I live in the Bay area, I went to community college in the Bay area, and I'm pretty set on going to Sac state. I didn't get into San Jose this fall because of impaction issues. However, now I'm having second thoughts. I could wait until Spring to go to San Jose if I decide at the last second not to go to Sac State. My question is what are some of your thoughts of Sac State? Its reputation for being a commuter campus? Its programs of study? The city itself?

I will not major in any kind of engineering or business. I like political science (International Relations), history, or criminal justice. Sac state has an excellent criminal justice and government program, both offering many internship opportunities. At Sac, I will be living in the brand new suites on campus. Sac state also has a lot more clubs and stuff that I would join that San Jose doesn't have (i.e. rowing, skiing/snowboarding, waterskiing, peak adventures)

However, part of me doesn't want to waste a lot of money living in Sacramento when I could just stay home and go to San Jose to get the same majors. What do you guys think?

Honestly it seems you made your mind up on Sac State already and your not an engineering or business major or I would say SJSU. SJSU is a commuter campus too I have a few a lot of friends that live down there, but going from SF to SJ would be hard. I would just go to Sac State it would be a change of area for you too as Fremont is really close to SJ and I’m sure you’ve done that already.

Plus it seems like Sac State has everything you want.
