I'm reposting this from the UC transfer forum, because I think some parts could be answered by UCM students, better than say anyone in the UC transfer forum. Please go at it with advice, criticism, compliments. Whatever. Thanks!

I'm a 4th year Business Admin major at a lower-tier CSU school (read as: not the Cal Polys) and recently I submitted, somewhat on a whim, the appeal to apply to UCM (since I am well past the normal deadline). To my surprise (somewhat), I was accepted to apply to UCM. I now have about 2 weeks to finish the application and turn it in. If I were accepted I would be majoring in Management at UCM. So going back to my main question... is it worth it?

A few background notes about me and additional questions about UCM:

-I'm a 4th year student (as previously mentioned), but I will not be graduating from the CSU for another year. This is because I didn't know what I wanted to do, so I floundered around for a bit. Ok, awhile. If I were to go to UCM though, I would probably have to be there for another 1.5-2years as the core classes are somewhat different.

-My GPA is 3.6, so I think I at least have that going in my favor to be accepted at UCM

-I've never written a college application essay in my life. Partially because at most CSU's you don't have to. How heavily regarded is the application essay?

-The UCM Management program is not currently accredited by the AACSB (those of you who are business students will probably know what this is). How big of a factor would that be, if say once I graduated from UCM?

-For those of you who go to UCM and are management students, what is the program like? Easy, challenging, hard, motivating?

I think that's all for now:)
