CSU Transfer Question

I'm looking to transfer to one of the CSUs for the Winter 2012 semester and had a quick question. If I previously attended UCSC for a quarter and left under academic probation, how does it affect my transfer to any CSU? I have met the requirements UCSC gave me if I ever wanted to return so I am eligible to be reinstated there. Thanks in advance.

Need more information. Are you currently a CCC student? Have you completed the CSU GE/Transfer pattern? What is your cumulative GPA?

If you have your GEs done, the “golden 4” done, and even better, your lower div. pre-reqs for your major done, the classes from the UC won’t hurt you–just be sure to include them in your GPA calculation. After that, it is a GPA game. Your “local” CSU (the feeder CCC that you have taken the MAJORITY of credits from) is your best bet because they will take as many local CCC transfers as possible. If you are a non-local CCC transfer student, then you need to have a decent GPA to get into the more competitive CSUs.

If you have done no other schooling since your time at UCSC (ie: no CCC) or not transfer ready from a CCC – you are probably out of luck, as they are not really taking lower div. transfers and they give heavy preference to CCC transfers over UC transfers. Again, I repeat, if you don’t have the 60 units/upper div transfer status with the golden 4 finished, you are unlikely to get in at all.

Also, I believe the CSUs ask only if you are eligible at the last institute, which I am presuming is a CCC.
